Exactly 135 days following Russell Martin's initial media briefing as Rangers head coach, successor the German coach faced reporters at Ibrox for the first time.

The scale of the task ahead of him is widely recognized, considering Martin's turbulent and disappointing four-month spell.

The ex- Sheffield Wednesday manager was accompanied by chairman the chairman, along with the much-criticized duo of sporting director Thelwell and CEO Patrick Stewart.

However, what exactly was revealed from the 36-year-old German's maiden media outing as the club's manager?

The Manager's Primary Focus - Victory Comes First

One thing emerged clearly from Rohl's initial presentation before the Scottish media - he recognizes the necessity to win matches, and achieve this quickly.

The previous manager Martin managed just 17 matches and 123 days as manager, so the question emerged about what timeframe Rohl thinks is realistic to transform the underperforming team.

While skillfully avoiding a specific response that might create later expectations, the coach's communication was very evident.

"With hope as soon as possible," he said. "That is essential.
"In this business you have limited time. You can discuss future plans but it's understood it's about the short-term and the short-term is about securing victories. That is what I demand.
"One thing remains obvious - I need every squad member to understand our intended to perform. I return to my main message: it's winning, it's attractive and it's together. If you follow this sequence, I believe that I'll stay for years here."

Expectations are Normal

Martin required a police escort to exit the stadium after his final game in charge.

We've seen how toxic situations can become at sports teams when performances decline. Protests have almost become a regular part of the matchday experience on both sides of the city these days.

As the club's most youthful manager in history, the question was posed about what qualities the coach thinks he possesses that would allow him to cope, never mind excel, in one of the highest-pressure positions in British football?

"I think expectations in this business are standard," he stated. "One needs to understand that very quickly.
"I think some people could reference my age but I'm 16 years on this path. I had a great chance to work with the German club and be only an assistant coach, but I experienced the reality to manage a team and the demands involved.
"You begin winning games and then certain people will say you need to play attractive football. That becomes the phase but precisely my intention. I enjoy those expectations and I'm excited for what's ahead."

Thelwell Explains Chermiti Signing & Appointing His Son

Kevin Thelwell media conference

The media pack had plenty of inquiries from the media for Thelwell.

Much discussion has concerned the hiring of his son as head of recruitment, with supporters skeptical about his qualifications for the position.

However, he justified and clarified the decision to bring his son to Ibrox.

"It's always uncomfortable to listen and optically I think we all agreed when we took this decision to appoint him that he would be viewed in a particular way," Thelwell said.
"The truth of the situation is that we want to bring the top players to this club.
"My view on his professional path and situation is he required no my assistance in soccer.
"He's worked at Villa as head scout, he then joined Norwich City as scouting chief and then was elevated to player pathways manager.
"Prior to our recruited him, multiple Premier League clubs sought to acquire him. What we did right at the beginning of proceedings was consult with the CEO, Andrew and vice-chairman Marathe about this situation.
"I was extremely transparent and I believe Robbie probably underwent a more rigorous process than anybody else who's employed by the team.
"I'm certain is that he will work constantly to achieve success for Rangers and I anticipate to him demonstrating that he's going to be a valuable staff member for the club."

Additionally, Thelwell defended the acquisition of striker Chermiti, who joined Rangers for a reported initial fee of £8m, after failing to find the net in 24 games for his previous club.

It was Thelwell who transferred the Portuguese young international to Liverpool from Sporting Lisbon - again for large funds in a fifteen million pound deal.

The question came if he stands by his multi-million pound signing, who hasn't yet score in seven outings for Rangers.

"Absolutely, completely," Thelwell responded. "I think the striker represents who's possesses great ability.
"I haven't questioned him whatsoever. Similarly, I believe Danny will help to get the best out of the player.
"These are initial stages for him, he remains young talent and of course with young talents they sometimes take time.
"However, I'm convinced throughout of his career here he'll demonstrate that he's a very, very good footballer."

The CEO Acknowledges Supporters' Frustration and Hurt

Stewart was also facing scrutiny, given the criticism that has been aimed his way by some of the club's fans.

There was even a banner in the Sandy Jardine stand during the last tie with Dundee United suggesting him - and the sporting director - to depart before being removed for him.

Like his football director, Stewart didn't avoid the issue.

"I completely understand the frustration and anger that fans are experiencing because results this season haven't met good enough and no one is happy with them," he said.
"The hurt and frustration they feel is matched within the leadership.
"Recognize that there must exist a channel for those frustrations and as chief executive, I'm responsible.
"I serve as focal point for those and my responsibility as a
